Invitation went to institutions with research activities in the field of theatre studies, cultural studies, cultural anthropology, literature studies that focus on the development of the Eastern European theatre. The aim of this meeting was to discuss different research foci in the particular partner countries with regard to the interpretation of developments in the Central and Eastern European theatre scene.
This project was a joint invitation of the international Theatre institute and the Insittute of Theatre Studies at Freie Universitaet Berlin. They hosted the meeting togeter with the Institute for Theatre Studies at Universitaet Leipzig.

Summary
This meeting brought together participants from all over Europe to discuss research interests within the field of Theatres Studies as well as opportunities for a joint information and knowledge platform. Participants of all universities presented main research foci of their institutes as well as relevant influences to the developments of the research environment of Theatre Studies over the last 25 years.
Participants reported on their research cooperations and international exchange initiatives. Presentations about relevant internet platforms with regard to developements of theatre productions and performances were given.
Participants discussed further the importance of taking into account the varieties of language within a project that focusses on structure and emergence of knowledge and information.
Prof PhD Bernhard Thull presented forms of visualization of information and knowledge for the performing arts.
Participants agreed upon further steps towards a cooperational setup with regard to structuring and implementing a joint information platform focussing on theatre research related subjects.
